PUG Challenge Australia 2020

10 March 2020

PUG Challenge Australia is a conference for everyone who uses Progress products to develop or run business systems, whether they be developers, software architects, database administrators, infrastructure specialists, business analysts or salespeople.

The conference is a great opportunity for you and your colleagues to learn and to network. There will be a full program of highly technical breakout sessions and workshops where you can hone your skills and knowledge, learning from industry leading experts. There will also be plenty of time for social interaction allowing you to interact with peers and discuss hot topics with other attendees.

This unique combination of networking and technical input makes the conference a unique offering which cannot be matched by traditional classroom or online training courses. Delegates have plenty of opportunity to not only learn, but to discuss their very specific issues and knowledge gaps with the same experts who have been providing the sessions they attended.

The conference will also provide plenty of opportunity for people doing similar things across different industries to come together and discuss their challenges and solutions, being therefore mutually beneficial.

PUG Challenge Australia is brought to you by members of the teams that created EMEA PUG Challenge in Europe and PUG Challenge Americas in North America. Their proven track record in organising and contributing to such events means it would be silly not to send your employees to this exciting inaugural event.

Mike Fechner will be providing the following presentations at the conference:

  • Opening OpenEdge Apps to Web & Mobile Platforms using the JSDO
  • Object-oriented concepts for the ABL developer
  • Implementing Domain-driven Design with the ABL (the coding)
  • Modernization Concepts and Strategies for OpenEdge Applications
  • An introduction to the SmartComponent Library framework
