   Currently reading the forum does not require an account.
   
   Limiting access to the forum to registered users seems like a good idea  to me.
   Not sure how other users of this forum think about it.
   Could have an impact on the type of info provided here.

   Hi Carl,
   
   we have deliberately chosen to make the forum publicly readable - and have no intention to change that. What kind of information would you share with a third party just because it's an authenticated customer of the SmartComponent Library - but still unknown to you - and not with a wider audience? 
   
   There's still the JIRA service desk for discussion on actual issues - which is private to your organization.
