For more than 10 years it is possible to develop object-oriented in OpenEdge. At the beginning the extensions were still quite rudimentary, but with 11.7 the object-oriented extension has become quite extensive. Many developers are already using the new OO language components.  Nevertheless, many developers still have questions regarding OO design.

Mike Fechner, Director from Consultingwerk and Peter Judge, Principal Software Engineer from Progress Software and also responsible for the implementation of OO extensions will cover the following during the workshop:

- OO Pattern and Architecture 
- Common Component Specification Services and Service Manager as the basic framework for future-oriented ABL applications
